Professional Biography
Lynda Duran (she/ella) is a Chicana MotherScholar who resides in Commerce City, Colorado. She the completed her PhD in higher education at the University of Denver. Her research focuses on designing culturally relevant pedagogy and curriculum that integrates students cultural skills and knowledge in higher learning. Lynda has worked in higher education for over 15 years. She specializes in equity-based assessment and research practices. In her work, Lynda empowers students, faculty, and staff to re-envision higher education from an asset-based lens in which we can all have culturally meaningful experiences as we collectively disrupt racist, sexist, and homophobic practices. Lynda also holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Colorado College and a master’s degree in counseling psychology from the University of Colorado Denver.
