Professional Biography

Sudha Shrestha is a first generation Nepalese American scholar practitioner, educator and co-conspirator in the pursuit of collective liberation. She currently serves as the Diversity Equity & Inclusion Manager for Arapahoe Library District. Her work in education ranges from K-12 to higher education to adult education. Sudha has been dedicated and passionate about DEIJ work for over 10 years and has worked as an advisor, consultant, facilitator, and strategist.  

Sudha believes the work of social justice is deeply interconnected with healing from various traumas we carry ourselves. Her work specializes in exploring one's own self identity and understanding the impact of such discovery has on the world. She is committed to creating learning spaces rooted in empathy, kindness, and self-compassion. Sudha has worked at various higher education institutions specializing in residential life, crisis and conflict management, supporting historically marginalized students, strategic program development, curriculum development, and training facilitation.

Sudha has come to deeply appreciate the role of empathy and love for self and others in DEIJ work. She wants to celebrate each individual who is committed to their own learning, un-learning, healing, and thriving!
