Professional Biography

Kenna spent her time growing up Indiana where she also received her BS in Marketing at Ball State University. Kenna moved back to Colorado to pursue her marketing career at a digital agency in downtown Denver. Kenna enjoyed working with co-workers to develop content, attending conferences, and developing new event initiatives during COVID-19. Kenna then moved into higher education to work at the Graduate School of Social work in the marketing department. From there, she joined the Equity Labs team and has since been involved in admissions marketing for the graduate school and marketing management with Equity Labs. Kenna has enjoyed being apart of environments that have centered DEIJ in their practices, work, and goals. Her approach to marketing and communications focuses on providing content and education to the audiences she serves in equitable and accessible formats.

Specializations

Kenna has worked in varying industries from digital agency work to Graduate School admissions and now diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice consulting. Kenna specializes in communication strategy and execution, event management and marketing, lead generation, and team management. Kenna has engaged in research surrounding communications and the centering of equitable and just practices within the industry.
