From the West Coast originally, I live on the ancestral land of the Arapaho and Cheyenne peoples in Littleton, Colorado. My professions are a journey through the arts, human resources, and learning & organizational development, and into serving as a Colorado State Senator. Now, with a Master's in Social Justice and Ethics from Iliff School of Theology and Clinical Pastoral Education training, I am integrating all those careers into the praxis of living restoratively, teaching Conscious Conflict, and facilitating DEAI and belonging. I now dedicate my life to transforming systems, communities, and hearts with a trauma-informed, socially just lens.

What does an equitable world look like to you?

Where government systems, workplaces, and communities are designed and operated so that every human and being can flourish in the freedom of authentic self-expression, thrive in abundance, and live peacefully.

What do participants take away from the Equity Labs?

A better understanding of how to assess their own need for skill development around issues of diversity, equity and inclusion and can do this in partnership with others in their organizations that seek to do the same.

Who is someone you admire and why?

I am kinetically drawn to adrienne marie brown whose approaches to facilitation, consensus-building, and transformative justice inspire how I work. I also feel drawn to her spirituality, which mirrors my own -- that of interconnectedness and the ever-evolving divinity within all.If you could travel anywhere right now, where would you go?

Scotland, the home of my ancestors, is calling. Need to feel that land.
