Master of Social Work Intern
Education
BS in Psychology & BA in Gender and Women's Studies (University of Wyoming)
MSW (University of Denver)
Background
Madison is embarking on her second and final year as a graduate student of social work at the University of Denver. Madison found great passion in advocacy work throughout her time in undergrad. As a double major in psychology and gender and women's studies, Madison began to understand and unravel the deep rooted inequalities in all facets of education, workplace, and life. This early developed passion for justice has furthered Madison in her journey as a graduate student and led her to become an avid social justice student concentrating on OLPP, (organized leadership and policy practice), in her professional career.
DEIJ Experience
Prior to her time at Equity Labs, Madison worked at the organization College Track; a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and providing resources for low income, minorities, and first generation students pursuing higher education.
What is one moment in your DEIJ work that you would like to celebrate?
One of the most notable moments of success in any DEIJ worker's career is when you can visibly see the impact of your work. For Madison, this was the college admission rate of students attending and graduating from College Track in 2023.
