De-mystifying the Theory, Defending a Practice: DEIJ in the Workplace

This month, our Community Hour aims to bring together diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice (DEIJ) practitioners and learners to discuss the importance of demystifying the theories we utilize every day to defend the crucial practice of DEIJ in the workplace.

In the past year, DEIJ practitioners and practices came under increased scrutiny from the banning of DEI programs on college campuses to prohibiting "divisive concepts". With this scrutiny, we also saw a drastic decrease in DEIJ positions across the U.S. Amidst the propagation of anti-DEIJ legislation and policies, we consider how DEIJ practitioners may respond to a good-faith critique of our work and a craft vigorous defense of our practice.

Join Executive Director Chenthu Jayton along with other DEIJ practitioners on Tuesday, January 23 at 10:00 a.m. MST to devise collaborative strategies and heal in community.
