From a young age we start to learn about leadership. We may seen, hear, read about, or complete projects on different leaders throughout our lives. We might name leaders we encounter from teachers, to coaches, to family members. Leadership is often considered a specific set of traits, characteristics, and strategies that can define someone as a “good” or “bad” leader.
In this session, we will lean into liberatory leadership practices by reflecting on the demonstrations of leadership in our community, how we define leadership, and tips for thinking through a liberatory lens. Join Assistant Director Ashley Hill and Marketing Manager Kenna Andreas-Lee on Wednesday, October 30 at 10 a.m. MDT as we begin the discussion around liberatory leadership.
We will discuss:
Examples or models of leadership seen in our lives
What liberatory leadership is and can be at work
How to begin thinking through the liberatory lens
