Americans spend on average 90,000 hours working in their lifetime. Prioritizing time, resources, and policies around mental health of employees and teams is no longer optional but necessary. During the month of May, mental health advocacy is discussed at large; the benefits of it, why it’s important, what to avoid, and more.
This month, we are going to focus on how to build people management skills centered around employee burn out and compassion fatigue. As managers and decision makers, being able to identify and support employees who are experiencing burnout is crucial. Not only is aiding employees when it happens important but putting in policies, practices, and systems to keep it from happening.
During this community hour we will:
Review the signs of employee burnout
Different steps for supporting burnt out employees
How to identify compassion fatigue
Strategies and tools you can implement to avoid burn out and compassion fatigue
