Spring Cleaning: Historical Workplace Practices Community Hour

Jumping into spring means a lot of things; warmer weather, allergies, and of course, spring cleaning. This month, we want to shake out the cobwebs and look at the policies guiding our workplaces.

For the April Community Hour, we will examine how historical workplace practices (have you ever heard someone say, but...we’ve always done it this way!) impact people in your organization. It is critical to recognize the disproportionate impacts some practices have on people with various nondominant identities. We will also talk about the importance of centering equity and justice as you design new practices. Join our Assistant Director Ashley Hill as she walks through:

  • How to recognize harmful workplace practices

  • How to consider the ways these practices impact marginalized voices

  • A few strategies to center and elevate people with nondominant identities in workplace practices

Join the free, virtual Community Hour on Tuesday, April 30th, at 10 a.m. MDT to do some spring cleaning with us!
